WHY USE CASSETTE COVERS?
The most important reason to use our cassette cover is to prevent cross contamination between patients. MRSA, VRE, and C-DIFF as well as other resistant bacteria are proving to be challenging for healthcare facilities to control. Radiology departments are doing their part in preventing the transmission of these organisms and infections by using cassette covers. Disinfecting individual cassettes after each use is tedious, inefficient and inadequate. The use of our cassette covers is an effective and responsible solution to the problem of cross contamination.
The cassette covers are also designed to reduce friction, enabling the technologist to more easily slide and position the cassette under patient beds or stretchers. This reduces the amount of energy a technologist must exert to perform a procedure thereby lowering the high incidence of costly injuries among technologists.
